Our idea is to pattern this after an existing
center in Grayslake known as The Oasis. The Oasis having a proven track record and overwhelming support from the community
as a whole. Already we have commitment from local
businesses, parents and many students who are willing to donate their time
and efforts to make this dream a reality.
But the few we have are not enough. It is our hope that our commitment will
pass on to the rest of our communities, and with the help of people and businesses we can achieve our goal and stand proud
of our efforts to attain it.
The question we are being asked more frequently is this:
Who is going
to run this, and what does it do to my taxes?
Well, in short,
this will be solely operated by the Wauconda Island Lake Youth NFP Inc. Our only association with any
village government agency will be that of their support and/or contributions. Your taxes are NOT subject
to our existence. Our idea is to be
a viable part of our communities, accepting donations both monetary and property, from residents, businesses and corporations,
who believe, as we do, it is time for this to happen

Mission Statement
This fledgling idea is that of a Not for
profit youth center for ages 12 to 18 in the Wauconda, Island Lake
and surrounding areas. Basically, for anyone in this age group in the surrounding area. who wants to come, relax
with friends, meet new people or just spend time “chilling”.
